AMD ACQUIRES TAALAS TO BAKE AI MODELS INTO SILICON

AMD has acquired Toronto-based Taalas, a startup that embeds machine learning model weights directly into silicon chips to accelerate AI inference performance. Early demonstrations show the approach achieving up to 17,000 tokens per second.
