CHINA PUSHES AUTOMAKERS TO BUILD LIGHTER EVS

China is moving to reverse years of vehicle weight gains driven by expanding battery technology. State broadcaster CCTV reported Sunday that the government wants slimmer electric vehicles after larger batteries and consumer demand for more features made passenger cars significantly heavier.
