The automaker will deploy Mobileye's EyeQ system-on-a-chip and Road Experience Management (REM) platform. REM uses real-time data from Mobileye-equipped vehicles to build a global 3D map, supporting hands-free, eyes-on driving and intelligent lane keeping on unmarked roads.
The partnership expands Stellantis' autonomous driving capabilities as the industry pushes toward Level 2 and Level 3 automation. Mobileye's technology processes visual data through its proprietary chip architecture, enabling vehicles to navigate complex driving scenarios with minimal driver intervention.
This deal follows growing industry consolidation around autonomous driving platforms. Stellantis, which owns brands including Jeep, RAM, Peugeot, and Fiat, will leverage Mobileye's mapping data collected from millions of vehicles globally to accelerate deployment across its portfolio.
