WHITEBOARD IDE LETS HUMANS AND AI DESIGN SOFTWARE TOGETHER

Whiteboard, built by Sid, Alex, Ketan, and Milan, recreates the experience of a productive whiteboarding session in digital form. The tool integrates with existing development workflows and tools, allowing teams to architect systems collaboratively. The founders created Whiteboard to capture the clarity that emerges from in-person design discussions—moments where participants leave with deep system understanding. The open-source project is available on GitHub at devdotfast/whiteboard. The application targets a gap in current development tooling: while IDEs excel at code execution and collaboration platforms handle communication, few tools facilitate the design phase where humans and AI agents work through architecture decisions together. Whiteboard operates as a desktop application that plugs into existing development environments, making adoption straightforward for teams already invested in specific tools and workflows.
